Q: How does the registration process work?
Parents are urged to take advantage of the online registration. Follow this link to register online.
Q: Does the Summer Jazz Workshop offer an early registration discount?
Yes. If a registration is completed, submitted and received by Monday, April 16, 2012, there is a 10% “Early Bird” discount.
Q: What are the grade levels for the 2012 Summer Jazz Workshop are at Francis Parker School?
The Workshop is for students ages 12-15 only.
Q: Are courses offered that are eligible to receive academic credit?
Not at this time.
Q: What if a minimum number of students for the Summer Jazz Workshop is not reached?
The Workshop will be canceled. In the Jazz Workshop is canceled due to under employment, parents/guardians and students will be notified and a full refund issued.
Q: What forms of payment does the Summer Jazz Workshop accept for payment of tuition?
Tuition payments may be made online as a part of the online registration process through CampBrain, the Workshop’s data management partner. Visa or Master Card is accepted. Tuition payments may also be made by personal or business check, payable to Francis Parker School.
Q: May students who do not attend Francis Parker School enroll in the Summer Jazz Workshop?
Q: Does the Summer Jazz Workshop offer an “extended” care or after-school option?
Yes. Extended Care is offered on the Linda Vista campus from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm at $9/hour. Billing takes place at the end of each weekly session.
Q: Are lunch or snacks available?
Lunch is included in tuition cost. There are also vending machines on the Linda Vista campus that dispense beverages only.
Q: Will there be scheduled breaks or recreational opportunities offered throughout the day?
Absolutely. The Francis Parker School campus has a field house, basketball courts, a multi-purpose football/soccer/baseball/lacrosse field, and an all-weather sport court, all of which will be available for use by Jazz Workshop students each day they are on campus. As well, Parker has many green spaces on campus to throw a Frisbee, read a book, or simply relax.
