Week of Sept. 6, Vol. 21, Issue 4
Dear Parents:
I'm not sure why, but I've never been quite so eager to get back to school. Not that I've been completely away, but the campus is a much different place without all of the daily youthful energy. Perhaps it's that we've had a few excited faculty children exploring their new classrooms over the last week... or maybe it's the iPad inservice many of our teachers attended last Thursday, inspiring in all of them amazing visions of the coming wonders of teaching and learning. But, whatever it is, it's very clear to me that this year is going to be superb in every way.
A reminder that we are fully underway this coming Tuesday (minus our JK students who will appear on Wednesday), and all of our teachers will be on the main playground by 8:00 a.m. to greet you and to ease the transition from summer. After the students begin classes at 8:15 a.m., we invite you to the courtyard and Szekely Auditorium for a very brief coffee to introduce some key parent volunteers and staff and to hear a few brief highlights of the coming year.
Please note: As a special treat for all of our faculty, staff and students, we'll have our first dress-down day on Friday (clothes and shoes suitable for all school activities, but more commonly seen during summer and on weekends) to celebrate the completion of our first week of school.
Following is our first menu. I'll include these every week (as available), along with other features as I become more adept at blogging.

Sincerely,
Bob Gillingham
