Working at Parker
Paul Barsky joined Parker in 2010. He is honored to be part of a community which looks to help create thoughtful and engaged learners and citizens. After living most of his life in New York City and teaching in the city, he was impressed by the program and offerings of Parker but struck by the warmth of the community.
Barsky says, "This is a school where it is cool to be kind and thoughtful." He believes that it is important to work with faculty and students when developing programs which will prepare the students to do well and do good work upon their graduation.
Paul has an open door policy, and when he is not at his desk he can be found chatting with faculty and staff or slinging the Frisbee with the children. Needless to say, Paul has transitioned smoothly from the big city to "America's Finest City."
