The Parker Advanced Chamber Orchestra played at the Forum Music Festival at Biola University on April 13 and was awarded the Gold Rating. Director Lisa Roudebush said, "I couldn't be prouder!" Jesus Jimenez was named the Outstanding Student Musician for his solo part in Danza Latina.
Meanwhile, under the direction of Michael Gonzales, the Upper School Beginning Classical Guitar Ensemble and Advanced Classical Guitar Ensemble participated at the Forum Music Festival in Yorba Linda, CA on Saturday, April 14. Both ensembles scored Gold Ratings (highest award). 43 student musicians took part in the performances. The program included music by Paul McCartney, Scott Joplin, Mason Williams, W.A. Mozart and J. Perroni. Andrew Smith and Ross Nicol were each named Outstanding Student Musician for their respective ensemble.
