For the fourth time in the lengthy history of Francis Parker School, the sitting Mayor of San Diego will deliver the Commencement Address to the School's graduating seniors. The honorable Jerry Sanders, San Diego's Mayor since 2005, has agreed to deliver the keynote address at Parker's graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 2.
Sanders will join Pete Wilson (1981), Maureen O'Connor (1992) and Susan Golding (1993) as current Mayors of San Diego who delivered the Commencement Address to Parker graduates. As the former San Diego Police Chief and chapter leader of the San Diego United Way, along with two terms in the Mayor's office, Sanders will have plenty to share with the future leaders of our community, country and world.
