About: Ti Moune is a peasant girl who rescues a wealthy boy named Daniel from the other side of the island. When the boy is returned to his people, Ti Moune sets off on a quest to find him with the help of the fantastical gods who rule the island.
The pursuit tests the strength of her love for Daniel and subjects her to the powerful forces of prejudice. In the end, Ti Moune must choose between the path the gods have chosen for her or creating her own destiny.
