On August 10, Scribe student staff were honored with the level of 2012 Gold Medalist by the Colombia Scholastic Press Association. This distinction is annually awarded to student journalists who create superior work in both print and online media. Parker's official student magazine, The Scribe, was judged by a set of standards set forth to determine student publication best practices.
Scribe writers and editors were met with well-deserved praise from the Association. In sharing its critique of The Scribe, the Association wrote, "The entire work, including the entertainment features in all the issues, really serves its audience well. The magazine as a whole is fun and vibrant in content and design."
Faculty advisors Michelle Adelman and Andrew Holbrook assist Scribe student staff in their diligent work. The magazine is published seasonally and distributed across campus to avid readers.
