Standardized Test Prep Program
At the Learning Center, small-group classes prepare Parker students for success on the PSAT, SAT, and ACT.
Class meetings are scheduled to accommodate the majority of participants. Please share your scheduling preferences with Lorna Kocian at firstname.lastname@example.org.

ACT Test Preparation Classes
ACT Math Boot Camp $165 (Sunday, Mar. 1st, 12:00PM to 3:00PM)
ACT Reading Boot Camp $110 (Thursday, Mar. 5th, 3:15PM-5:15PM)
ACT Full Practice Test Class $240 (Saturday, Mar. 14th, 8:00AM to 12:00PM and Sunday, Mar. 15th, 9:00AM to 12:00PM) Test will be administered on Saturday. Scores will be returned and problems missed will be explained on Sunday.
ACT Science Boot Camp $110 (Monday, Mar. 16th, 9:00AM-11:00AM)
ACT English/Writing Boot Camp $110 (Thursday, Mar. 19th, 3:15PM-5:15PM)
ACT Full Practice Test Class II $240 (Saturday, Mar. 28th, 8:00AM to 12:00PM and Sunday, Mar. 29th, 9:00AM to 12:00PM) Test will be administered on Saturday. Scores will be returned and problems missed will be explained on Sunday.

SAT Zinger Math II $110 (Wednesday, Mar. 4th, 3:15PM-5:15PM)
SAT Writing and All-Around Review $110 (Wednesday, Mar. 11th, 3:15PM-5:15PM) Great for those taking the Mar. 14th test or for those embarking on preparation for the May/June tests.
SAT Practice $110 (Wednesday, Mar. 25th, 3:15PM-5:15PM)

Individual Test Prep Tutoring
Individual test prep tutoring is available during free periods, lunch, and some after-school and weekend hours.
Recommended workbooks: The College Board's The Official SAT Study Guide or Peterson's The Real ACT Prep Guide. Both books include practice tests. In addition to one-on-one support, students receive handout materials and other resources to build understanding and skills.
Scheduling: Please email Lorna Kocian to arrange times for individual tutoring.
Cost: $95 per one-hour session
Most sessions are held in the College Counseling/Learning Center upstairs in the Peters Family Building. Fees will be billed to student accounts.

Registration and Cancellation Policy

Email Ms. Kocian before the first session. Registration confirmation is sent by email. Class registration may be canceled up to one week before start date without incurring charges.
Individual tutoring sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than a 24-hour notices will incur a 50 percent cancellation fee.
Make-up classes/sessions will be scheduled based the availability and discretion of the teacher; outlines and materials will be made available for the missed class or session.

about Lorna Kocian
Lorna is an experienced teacher/tutor who has been supporting San Diego Students for more than 15 years.
Prior to creating her own tutoring business, Lorna worked with students in the Parker Learning Center. Lorna has used her years of experience with standardized testing to create many of her own materials, which will be used in the Parker program. Her expertise has been validated by the successes of the students she has taught.
