Audubon Society
What: Volunteers are needed to restore the Silverwood Canyon Wildlife Sanctuary.
When: The third Saturday of each month, 9:00 a.m. – noon
Where: Silverwood is located at 13003 Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside. Directions are available at the SDAS website.
- As required by the San Diego City Parks Department, volunteers 17 and under must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian at the start of the event. Volunteers under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Wear work clothes (long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat, sturdy shoes) and sun protection.
- Refreshments will be provided.

What: Therapeutic Recreation Services provides sports, recreation, leisure and outreach services to children and adults with physical, mental and emotional disabilities.
- There is a mandatory orientation prior to volunteer service.

Community Coaching Center, Inc.
What: "Peer Pals" are needed to interact with school aged children on the autism spectrum.Volunteers would join the participants on community outings or assist in
activities at the center.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore
What: The ReStore is a building materials thrift store.

Jewish Family Service HandUp Youth Food Pantry
What: HandUp provides meals to San Diego's homeless population and military families living on Camp Pendleton. Students are needed to travel to Camp Pendleton to distribute the food and provide activities for the children on base.

Kids Read to Kids
What: Reading and tutoring to primary school children from Kit Carson Elementary or the McGill School of Success
When: Ongoing.

What: Serving lunch or dinner
