made the All Conference honorable mention academic team for USC.
Gino Gordon '07 named to Ivy League First Team Offense for 2009 football season.
Cassidy Lichtman '07 plans to complete her BA by the end of this junior year and is applying to the Stanford graduate program in History to do her Masters during what would normally be her senior year.  Stanford coaches report that it is very rare for an athlete to do this.

Today was the 126th playing of "The Game," the Harvard-Yale football game. Gino Gordon '06 was featured in a related article in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Click here for the post-game report from The Boston Globe.

It's one thing to have two Lancer alumnae on the same college volleyball team, but USC can also say it's the first time they've ever had two sisters on the same squad. , who helped lead the Harvard women's golf team to a tournament title the weekend of October 16th, was featured in an article of the Harvard Crimson. Coach Claire Sheldon remarked, “Coming from San Diego, Katie had never really played in these types of cold conditions, so that makes her performance that much more impressive,” Sheldon said. “We will continue to look to her to pace the team throughout the rest of the year and into the future.”

Danielle Bidegain '07 and Olivia Ching '09, with the rest of the University of Miami women's soccer team, upset number 2-ranked North Carolina on October 25th.

made Harvard history on October 31, as the first Harvard player ever to gain 100+ yards rushing and 100+ yards receiving in the same game. He was named Ivy League Player of the Week as a result. Read more here...

Alexis Crusey '06,
a senior outside hitter for Yale's Women's Volleyball Team, earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors. In fact, according to the Yale website, "One of the most prolific Bulldogs in terms of both kills (3.17 per set) and digs (3.37 per set) in 2009, Crusey ranks sixth all-time in Yale history with 1,128 career kills and recently eclipsed 1,000 digs for her career, sitting at ninth all-time with 1,038. She is one of five Bulldogs to reach both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, and one of only four Yale players in the career top 10 in both categories." Read the full article here...

On Friday, September 25, former Lancer teammates Amani Walker '07 (UC Irvine) and Manny Sardinha '08 (Princeton) were set to face one another in a men's soccer tournament at SDSU at 1:30pm. This is the first time these two have played against one another in their respective long careers. #23 UCI won the match 2-1 over the Tigers; more details here...

Amani Walker '07 is making news in college men's soccer. Amani is a junior at UC Irvine...
He plays Forward for the Anteaters, and in the week ending September 6, 2009, scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in his team's come-from-behind victory, 3-2 over Santa Clara. He also had the game-winning goal in Irvine's 1-0 victory over LIU. More details here...
But that's not all folks: He was named the Big West Player of the Week for that double OT win over Santa Clara. And there's still more: Amani was also named Soccer America's Men's Team of the Week and College News Soccer Team of the Week. See details here...
