Extended Program: Brass
Low Brass Choir and Chamber Music
“Low brass” band students have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in small chamber ensembles with Louise Titlow. Sessions focus on the fundamentals and performance practices of low brass. Students are exposed to a wide variety of musical styles, playing in duets, trios, quartets, and in a choir.
Chamber music often supports the growth of independence and self-confidence in young musicians. In the choir, the less- experienced students are able to learn from the more experienced students in a side-by-side setting.
Private Lessons for Baritone Horn, Euphonium, Trombone and Tuba
Private lessons with Louise Titlow support the individual student’s musical progression. Instruction and materials are tailored to meet the needs of each student. Sight reading, ear training, theory, tone production, air support, tonguing, posture, and embouchure development are given special emphasis.
