Mary Taylor

Mary Taylor serves as Interim Director of the Compact for Success & Collaborative Programs at San Diego State University. She is also the Interim Executive Director of Elementary Institute of Science, a nonprofit organization committed to increasing lifelong opportunities for southeast San Diego students through science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.

Previously, she directed the Student Support Services Program in the UCSD Learning Center and was Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at UCSD's Eleanor Roosevelt College. Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in sociology from UCSD, a master's degree in education from SDSU and a certificate in college admissions counseling from UCLA. She serves on the UCSD Black Alumni Scholarship Board, the Education Committee of the San Diego Anti-Defamation League and the North County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America. An active volunteer at Parker, Mary is outgoing president of the Parents Association. She also serves on the Campaign Steering Sub-Committee. She and her husband, Lawrence, have one son, Jonathan, Class of 2016.
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
