Mary Taylor

Mary Taylor serves as the Director of the Compact for Success and Collaborative Programs Department at San Diego State University. Previously she has Directed the College Apps Academy Program at Reality Changers, a non-profit organization dedicated to college access, and served as Interim Director of the Elementary Institute of Science, a non-profit dedicated to increasing STEM education and opportunities for students in underserved San Diego neighborhoods. Mary has also previously directed the Student Support Services Program and served as Interim Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at UC San Diego. 
 
Mary has served on the Board for the Elementary Institute of Science and currently serves on the UC San Diego Black Alumni Scholarship Board as well as the UC San Diego Education Studies Advisory Board. Mary holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UC San Diego, A Master’s Degree from San Diego State University, a Certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UCLA and is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program. Mary has volunteered in a number of capacities at Parker to include serving as Parent Education Chair and Parents Association President. She and her husband Lawrence have one son, Jonathan, Class of 2016.
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
