A native of San Diego, Patsy Marino is a graduate of the University of San Diego. After a 12 year career in communications and Internet start-ups, Patsy committed to stay home, support her family and raise her children. Always having a passion for contemporary art, education and children, Patsy found purpose in her work as a community volunteer. She served as a trustee at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego and co-chaired their annual gala with her husband David in 2003. Patsy devoted six years to re-opening and re-building The New Children's Museum, a revolutionary contemporary art museum for families, and served on the board for five years, two of them as board president. During this time, she co-chaired a $10m capital campaign focused on debt relief. She currently serves as an honorary board member of the museum.
Patsy’s current passion project is the Murals of La Jolla, a project of the Athenaeum. She serves on the art selection and executive committee with other leaders in the La Jolla arts community. The Murals of La Jolla is an outdoor public art project on private property and privately funded.
Since 2015, Patsy has served on the Francis Parker School Gala Committee and Campaign Steering Committee. She resides in La Jolla, California with her husband of 16 years and their two children, including Gia, Class of 2020.
