Alumni Working Together: Brooke Nicholas ’09 and Ian Glover ’08

Blade Study is a contemporary art gallery established in 2022, located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and was born from a shared vision between Parker alums Brooke Nicholas ’09 and Ian Glover ’08. Both Brooke and Ian desired to create a home for conceptually rigorous artists, artworks, and exhibitions.

2025 Alumni Holiday Meetups

Over the Thanksgiving and Winter break, alumni returned to campus or met up with their old classmates, teachers, coaches, and current Parker students to reminisce on their time as a Lancer. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces back on campus.

Parker Podcast: Perspectives Off the Page

The Parker Podcast returns with a refreshed format and a renewed focus. Across the series, listeners can expect engaging discussions spanning STEM, music and the arts, military and community service, athletics, and more. The Parker Podcast highlights the many ways a Francis Parker School education continues to resonate long after graduation.

Parker in the News

To celebrate our students' hard work and passions outside of their time on campus, we have created the Parker in the News landing page. Periodically, the page will be updated, and the round-up of stories and links will be shared with the community.

Meet Parker’s New Swim Coach for the School’s Inaugural Swim Program

This spring, the School will officially dive into its next aquatics expansion with the launch of the inaugural Parker Swim Team. “The addition of a swim team marks an exciting new chapter for not only Parker's Aquatics Program but for Parker Athletics as a whole,” shared Eric Nagoshi, Parker’s Associate Athletic Director of Aquatics & Operations.

Fall 2025 Athletics Round-Up

The Lancers worked hard this fall and had a season marked by big wins, championship titles, and all-league honors. Each head coach reflected on their team’s accomplishments–sharing highlights, challenges, and the moments that defined the season.

Save the Date: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly

We are excited to share a save-the-date for an upcoming community event featuring Lex Gillette, a visually impaired Paralympic medalist and motivational speaker. He will present to our Middle School and Upper School students in a joint assembly. This meaningful presentation is open to parents, and we warmly invite families to join us.

Reflections from the Cast of “Matilda”

In November, Parker's Drama Club put on a series of spectacular performances of “Matilda” in the face of unexpected hurdles. From performers to choreographers to ensemble members, Middle and Upper School students worked hard to piece together the production. Keep reading to hear students reflect on the meaningful and memorable experiences behind the scenes and on stage.

Jump In to Summer at Parker Swim School

This summer marked the beginning of a new Parker tradition: Swim School. In partnership with Camp Parker and Horizons at Parker, our Aquatics staff offered a series of summer swim lessons that focused on building confidence, teaching water safety, and fostering a lifelong love of swimming. Campers of all ages—from our “littles” taking their first splash to older students working with swim coaches on their technique—grew stronger and more confident in the water as the summer progressed.

You Power Teachers Like Nancy Anderson-Bruno

Day of Giving dollars paid for Upper School teacher Nancy Anderson-Bruno to prepare and solidify the curriculum for her English 12 Honors Class, which focuses on Sports Literature, enriching students’ ability to think critically about sports as a lens for culture, identity, and storytelling.

Your generosity powers teachers’ ability to develop engaging academic courses, equipping teachers like Nancy to deliver meaningful learning experiences.

The Paul Esch Office for Excellence in Teaching and Learning: Elevating Parker’s Mission

Thanks to a transformational gift from the Vassiliadis Family Foundation with support from the E.E. Ford Foundation, Parker is now able to formalize and expand the creation of the Paul Esch Office for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (The Office). This new office at the School provides the structure and resources needed to align teaching practices, foster professional growth, and ensure that every student benefits from a unified vision of learning.
