Field Trips and longer retreats provide students with the hands-on experiences necessary to put their learning into practice, leading to deeper understanding and higher engagement.

Malia Terry-Voisard, Class of 2028, competed this summer in the 2024 Olympic Hopes Regatta, an international competition held in Hungary. She raced against the world’s top 15-year-old female canoeists and finished 10th globally.
Last week, students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 5 trekked over to the Linda Vista Campus to celebrate the grand opening of the updated Silberman Family Student Life Center, the Douglas Aquatic Center, Vassiliadis Commons, and the Vassiliadis Athletic Center alongside their Middle and Upper School peers.
At the end of August, our Football and Girls' Volleyball teams traveled out of state to compete. Football went to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Girls' Volleyball went to Hilo, Hawaii.
Students typically learn about birds in our science classrooms, but this fall, Grade 8 students were able to be inspired by avian behavioral patterns in a new way. During advisory, students participated in a unique Birds of Different Feathers work style assessment. This exercise allowed students to discover their “bird” personality type and learn how it influences their approach to work.
Taking place on a global stage, the Olympics are made possible by thousands of dedicated individuals working behind the scenes. Numerous Parker alumni, faculty, and parents are contributing to the 2024 Olympics—from athletes and coaches to physicians and caterers.
The Student Athletic Advisory Council is a representative body of interscholastic athletic and club programs. Student-athletes serve on the council and provide insight into the student-athlete experience under the guidance and mentorship of the Director of Athletics, Mahina Hannemann-Gago.
The Class of 2024 has chosen to attend 75 different colleges in 23 states, Washington, D.C., and Scotland.

Naming Francis Parker School’s inaugural Aquatics Director marked the initiation of the final phase of our two-decade-long vision for Linda Vista Campus improvements which included the Douglas Aquatic Center, Silberman Student Life Center, and Vassiliadis Athletic Center. Keira Izumi, Class of 2024, is showing young girls in sports that gender is not a limit when it comes to playing a sport they love. Keira is a multi-sport athlete at Parker, playing on both the Baseball and Softball teams during the spring season.
