Medical Health Support Services

As students resume their course instruction remotely with Parker Online, the School will continue to provide student support services. In regard to medical health support, Nurse Maggie West will be available to speak with students and parents during regular school hours (Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm). Nurse Maggie can be reached via email at or via cell phone at 619-717-0235.

Your primary healthcare provider should always be the expert medical advisor for you and your family. However, Parker’s credentialed registered school nurse, Maggie West, is available to speak with parents and teachers to provide resources and consultation for health questions and concerns, especially as they relate to your student’s health and school. Additionally, if your student is sick during this time of online learning would you please contact your division secretary via email and let her know what your child is sick with including what symptoms your student is experiencing. This would be helpful in tracking illnesses in our community. Nurse Maggie will most likely contact you to see how your student is feeling.

This is a challenging time. Protect yourself, and your family by:

  • Washing hands often with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth
  • Covering a cough or sneeze with your sleeve, or using a disposable tissue and then washing your hands afterward
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
  • Staying away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms like fever and cough
  • Practicing social distancing
  • Following guidance from public health officials

Finally, if you have symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) such as fever, cough or shortness of breath please call your healthcare provider before seeking medical care so that appropriate precautions can be taken prior to your office visit.
