Lisa, on staff at Parker since 2001, has two decades of teaching experience in independent schools. At Parker she introduced a new string method to her Middle School program, which works well in conjunction with the Suzuki Method.
She teaches MS Strings, US String Ensemble, Advanced Chamber Orchestra and is a co-founder and co-director of Parker's first Lancer Orchestra. She attended Hope College and the University of Maryland where she graduated with a BS in education with an emphasis in music.
In college, she played in an audition-only orchestra, which toured the United States. She also played electric violin in a rock band and performed in the Chicago and Detroit areas.
As a college student, she taught violin and viola. Lisa played in several pit orchestras for a variety of musicals.
For several years, she has been a member of a string quartet that competed in numerous festivals, earning top honors consistently.
Lisa was on staff at Interlochen National Music Camp, and has played the violin for close to 40 years and took up the cello in 2007. She continues to play in the cello section of the Lancer Orchestra.
She is the mother of Parker students Megan '15 and Max '19.
