Extended Day Program

Parker’s Extended Day Programs allow students to explore new interests, receive academic support, strengthen social/emotional skills, and make meaningful connections and memories with fellow students and teachers that will last a lifetime.

Our programs foster constructive, creative, and global thinkers. Whether your child is joining us for one day, week, or for a longer period, we hope their creative minds are inspired to further engage in the world around them through our program.

Lower School Extended Day Program

Extended Day Program Hours

8 to 9 am

3:30 pm-4:30 pm


 

OUR PROGRAM:

Parker’s Extended Day Program provides students with fun, guided, and open offerings that are aligned to the School’s mission, such as: 

  • Art projects inspired by popular world artists 
  • STEAM opportunities and science experiments 
  • Design challenges
  • Team connections 
  • Trivia and much more…

The afternoon program also includes time to work on homework assignments, enjoy personal reading or writing, or connecting with friends.  

 

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN:

3:30 to 4 pm Restroom Break, Snack*, Read Aloud 

4 to 4:30 pm Workshops (Creation Station, Brain Power, Action!)

 

SENIOR KINDERGARTEN – GRADE 5:

3:30 to 3:45 pm Check-In, Group Meeting, and Snack*

3:45 to 4:30 pm Workshops (Creation Station, Brain Power, Action!) 

 

*Snacks are provided by Francis Parker’s cafeteria and abide by Parker’s Nutritional Guidelines 

ENRICHMENT CLASSES

In addition to Parker’s After School Extended Day Program, we offer a variety of virtual enrichment classes that provide educational skill-building performing/visual/culinary, sports/movement, and science and math opportunities. In partnership with local community programs and our own Parker staff, enrichment classes provide students with engaging and structured activities, aiming to encourage students’ creativity while exploring new or developing interests. Class fees vary and are dependant on staffing needs and materials. 

Session I: October-December
Session II: January-March
Session II: April-June

LANCER FULL-DAY CAMP

Parker’s Extended Day Program also offers Day Camps (8:30 am to 3:30 pm) to Lower School students during Professional Development Days, Mid Winter, and Spring Break. Join us for a full day camp filled with adventure and fun in a supportive and enriching environment. Morning and afternoon activities will include science experiments, arts, cooking, and more.

Extended Care PM, Drop-in Rate: $15/day


 

REGISTRATION

Extended Care: No pre-registration required; daily charges will be placed in your CampBrain account (https://francisparker.campbrainregistration.com). Please confirm your information is up to date in the registration portal. A Household Account Statement and confirmation email will be provided prior to your card on file being charged at the end of each month. 

Enrichment Courses: Additional information about Parker’s virtual enrichment classes, or full-day camps are available on Parker’s Extended Programs resource board. Ready to register? Please visit Parker’s CampBrain registration portal to select the course offerings. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families. Please contact studentbilling@francisparker.org for a unique discount code to apply at checkout.
