Athletic Training

Parker is recognized as a leader in protecting student-athletes from injury. Since 2015, we have received the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Safe Sports 1st Team School award.

Keeping student-athletes safe during physical education classes, team practices, and competitions is a priority. Parker is one of the few schools in the county with two full-time certified athletic trainers on staff.

While school is in session, students may consult the athletic trainer for urgent care, evaluations, treatment, rehabilitation, and referrals.

Student Athletic Training Program

Parker offers Upper School students the unique experience of being student athletic trainers. Students will learn skills necessary to assist the athletic trainer after school with emergency care, taping, anatomy, evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all sports.

Being a student Athletic Trainer will help build new medical skills and help with communication, time management, and interpersonal skills that can carry you through life.

If interested, please get in touch with Parker’s Athletic Trainer, Niki Dehner, at ndehner@francisparker.org
