Nutrition Program

Francis Parker School places the highest priority on serving balanced, nutritious food in both our Mission Hills and Linda Vista Campus cafeterias. We also help educate our students about the importance of maintaining a healthy diet.
Lunches consist of hot entrees, fresh salad, fruit and soup bars, and a wide variety of side dishes. Lunch is included in the cost of tuition and is served fresh every school day.

Healthy Foods

Parker Food Services offers a balanced diet that meets or exceeds all of the recommended daily allowances for our target age groups. Menus were planned following a thorough analysis of Parker lunch and snack offerings by a registered dietician.

Reductions were made on fat, packaged foods, foods with preservatives and most desserts. We have increased our use of homemade soups with fresh materials, baking instead of frying, and serve more nutritious breads, pastas and sauces.

Fresh fruit and nutritious snacks are also provided in Lower School classrooms.

Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
