Middle School Departments & Courses

The full Middle School academic program consists of required courses in mathematics, English, science and history and the student’s choice of French, Mandarin or Spanish.

In addition, a daily period of on‐campus Physical Education or interscholastic team practice is included. Students also enroll in a yearlong music course and three trimester-long performing arts or arts and innovation classes. Music course offerings include Band, Guitar, Strings, Percussion or Chorus, and Art and Innovation offerings include the broadest range of the following courses over the three‐year Middle School experience and include courses such as Art, Drama, Programming, Dance, Ceramics, Woodworking and many more.

Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
