Advisory Program

At Parker, we place a high value on integrity, responsibility and self-discipline.

To help students succeed, each student is assigned to an advisory group. Each advisory group is led by a faculty member and consists of 12-16 students with the common goal of creating a community where students are individually known and valued.

In meetings twice a week, lessons center on the core values of community, lifelong learning, whole-child education, collaboration and global citizenship. Each week the Middle School as a whole focuses on one of the core values, creating a shared learning experience.
Schoolwide Social-Emotional Learning weeks are held twice a year, allowing students to focus on particular topics, such as hunger and poverty. Twice a year, students also take part in community service projects off campus.
If a student is struggling academically or socially, the advisor is the best first point of contact for the student and/or parents/guardians.
