Ever feel like something is creeping up on you? Well, something is - the 2011 Francis Parker Lower School Halloween Carnival! It's just around the corner on Friday, October 28, from 1:15 to 4pm. Volunteering is the first step - you'll meet and work with lots of other parents, create lifelong memories for your children, and have a lot of fun in the process.

The 9th Grade Fall Student Class Dinner will take place on October 5th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on campus.
The 10th Grade Parent Dinner will take place in Nicholas Commons on Wednesday October 12 at 5:30pm. The 10th Grade Fall Student Class Dinner will take place at the same time. Details to follow from your ASB representatives.
Senior Yearbook Portraits - DEADLINE EXTENDED
All senior portraits must be taken and chosen by October 15th in order to be included in the 2011-2012 yearbook. Please note this deadline is final. You may contact studio/Michael Spengler Photography at (858) 454-0331 or www.studiomlajolla.com for an appointment if you haven’t done so already.
Please ask your senior to be thinking of his or her senior quote and select a baby picture for the yearbook. These will be due to the yearbook staff by the end of September. The yearbook staff will also be sending out details soon how to buy a Senior Ad for the yearbook.

PARKER GALA MEETING - Tuesday, September 20th, 8:15am
Any parent who would like to help with the Gala planning is welcome to attend this first planning meeting. Come and sign up for a committee and help us plan the best fundraiser yet! The meeting will be in the Nicholas Commons at the Linda Vista Campus.

PARENT EDUCATION EVENT – Monday, October 3rd 8:30 am WeCare proudly presents Parent Education Speaker Dr. Ken Ginsburg. Resilience in Action: Raising Children and Adolescents Who are Prepared to Thrive!
Please join us in J. Crivello Hall on the Upper School campus. 8:30 Social, 9:00 am Speaker. This special WeCare event is free and open to the public. Dr. Ginsburg will also be speaking at 7:00 pm at Warren Walker School.
