Mary Burt-Godwin ’90 has recently launched a book and companion website called Dead Dads Club: Stories of Love, Loss, and Healing by Women Who Have Lost Their Dads. The book is available on the website http://www.deaddadsclub.com/ and on amazon.com. Katey Reid ’90 contributed a story to the book, as did Parker alumni parent, Norma Hirsh, mother of Lauren Hirsh ’93. Mary has been host of MamaMaryShow.com since 2008 and is a freelance writer for TodaysMama.com, Legoland.com and several corporate clients. She lives in Carlsbad, CA with her husband and two daughters.
Jim Knight ’91was married to Lauren Costa on July 23, 2011 at the Liberty House in Liberty Park, along the Hudson River in New Jersey. Jim and Lauren are living in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. Jim and his brother Glen Knight ’90 own The Wine House, a retail wine store in Los Angeles. Jim is also a winemaker and owns a winery started in 2001 that produces his label Jelly Roll Wines. Jim and Parker friends Luke Miller ’90, Matt Engel ’92, Jason Miller ’92, and Josh Detwiler ’91are also starting a new wine label called High Five Wines made from grapes grown on Luke’s vineyard in Potter Valley, CA.
Lauren Hirsh ’93 is on the founding team of a successful national start-up company called BuyWithMe.com. Her daughter is in Senior Kindergarden at Parker with Mrs. Hartman.
Charles Pope ’93 recently completed an MBA at the University of San Diego and is now Chain of Custody Technical Associate at Scientific Certification Systems in Emeryville, CA. We’ll miss you in San Diego!
Zach Dembitsky ’94 is an ER doctor in Lincoln City, Oregon. He and his wife Corey have one child and another on the way.
Danny Hughes ’98 is Head Coach of the Parker boys' volleyball team, which is currently competing in the regional championships.
Craig Hartman ’98 is a Power Systems technician for Hawthorne Caterpillar. He travels around the world consulting and repairing generators. He and his wife Ana Arboleda live in San Diego and have two children.
Dr. Allison Gontang Komiyama, Ph.D. ’99 is working at PaxMed, where she is involved in gaining FDA approval for international companies making medical devices. She reports that it is a great position for her and she is using knowledge gleaned from her year with the FDA in medical devices and her neuroscience degree. Allison and her husband Takaki live in San Diego’s South Park.
Reyhaneah Baha ’99 earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and has returned to San Diego, where she is a Chiropractor at the San Diego Center for Health.
