In 2004, Jeff became President and CEO of Carleton Management Inc., his family's real estate investment and development business. Jeff was previously affiliated as a partner with the San Diego law firm of Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith. He joined the firm in 1986, became a partner in 1989, and became its youngest managing partner in 2000.
In 1979, Jeff graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with honors in economics and earned his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1982.
Jeff is a graduate of The Wexner Heritage Foundation leadership program. In the community, Jeff is on the board of directors and Past-Chair of the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego. He is a past president of Congregation Beth Israel, served as the chair of its Sesquicentennial Endowment Campaign and was the 2014 recipient of the Carl M. Esenoff Memorial Award for Extraordinary Community Service. He also serves on the boards of the University of California San Diego Foundation, Seacrest Holdings Corp., and the Boston University Dean’s Leadership Advisory Board. Jeff served as a member of the Francis Parker School Development Committee and the co-chair of the Campaign Steering Committee. Jeff currently serves as the Chair of the Board. Jeff and his wife, Karen, have four children, including a daughter in the Parker Class of 2013.
