Robert Gleason

Robert received his Bachelor of Economics from Princeton University and Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Evans Hotels; owner and operator of The Lodge at Torrey Pines, the Bahia Resort Hotel, and the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa. 

Robert is also involved in a variety of community and philanthropic activities, primarily in the areas of the arts, education, economic development, electoral politics, and LGBT and civil rights. 
 
At Parker, Robert is Chair of the Board of Trustees and its Philanthropy Committee. In addition, he currently serves as Chair of the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, a gubernatorial appointee to the California Travel and Tourism Commission, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Council of Princeton University.

Previously, he served as Chair of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture, the San Diego LGBT Community Center, and the San Diego LGBT Community Leadership Council; as Vice Chair of the LGBTQ Victory Fund, the Old Globe, and the City of San Diego Funds Commission; and as a member of the San Diego County Advisory Board of U.S. Bank. He also served on the faculty of the L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University, teaching Hospitality Law and Policy.

Robert and his husband, Marc Matys, have two children, Max, Class of 2024, and Chase, Class of 2025.
 
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
