Robert Howard

Robert Howard is a partner in the law firm of Latham & Watkins. He chairs the Land and Resources Department overseeing a team of 23 lawyers who work on litigation, environmental and energy projects throughout the United States. As a trial lawyer, he has tried cases in federal and state court and representing clients in the energy-oil and gas industry, energy-power industry, aerospace, defense and cleantech industries. He earned his law degree with honors, from Duke University School of Law. He also holds bachelor's degrees (magna cum laude) in mechanical engineering and (cum laude) in Applied Physics from Tufts University. After serving for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is currently a member of the Parker Board Campaign Sub-committee. Robert and his wife, Jacqueline Gaussen, have two children, Ryder, Class of 2025, and pre-schooler Riley.
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
