Steve Tomlin

Steve graduated from Yale University in 1983, where he received a B.A. cum laude in American Studies, and from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where he received his M.B.A.  He is a Partner of Avalon Ventures, a venture capital company based in San Diego, CA, and Cambridge, MA.  Steve has been an entrepreneur, senior executive and investor in the wireless technology, biotechnology and Internet industries for over 20 years.  Steve is a member of Parker's Development Review and Strategic Initiatives and Academic Affairs Committees, and has served on the Endowment Campaign and Finance Committees. Steve and his wife, Patsy, have a son, Duncan, class of 2012, and a daughter, Faith, class of 2017, at Francis Parker School.
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
