Admissions Process

Application Process for Matriculation into the 2019 - 2020

Parker alumni often comment on the personalized attention that they received from their teachers and administrators during their tenure at Parker.  We strive to provide the same level of individualization to applicants during the admissions process.  Furthermore, we understand the intricacies of this process and our goal is to make the process as streamlined as possible while gathering the required information about your child in order to make an informed decision.

Parker welcomes applications for all grades.  In the Lower School, the greatest number of students are accepted into Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten.  We increase the class size from senior kindergarten to fifth grade and add a few new students to each of the upper elementary grades (Grades 1 - 5) annually.  Grades 6, 7 and 9 are the expansion years for the Middle School and Upper School respectively. We accept the greatest number of students into these grades. However, as in the Lower School, we often accept a smaller number of students into other grades when openings occur.

In order for your child to receive priority consideration for admissions, his/her file must be complete by February 1, 2019. A completed file includes the following:

  • Admissions application form through Ravenna
  • Birth Certificate (Grades JK - 5)
  • Immunization Records
  • Official Transcript (sent to Parker directly from your child's school)
  • Parent Questionnaire (submitted through Ravenna)
  • Recommendation Forms (submitted through Ravenna)
  • Results from the Admissions Assessment (grade specific)
  • Student Questionnaire (Grades 6 - 12: submitted through Ravenna)
  • Applicant Visit (Grades 2 - 5)
  • Parent/Guardian Interview (Grades JK - 5)
  • Family (Parent/Guardian and Applicant)  Interview (Grades 6 - 8)
  • Applicant Interview (Grades 9 - 12)

For more information regarding each division, feel free to contact a member of the admissions team and review the application requirements page for the grade of interest to you.
