Parker Sports Wrap for the Week of Dec. 5 - 9

Girls Basketball
 
Our girls evened their record at 1-1 with a 85-14 victory over O’Farrell on Tuesday, December 6, on Hillgren Court.  The Lancers jumped out to a 28-1 lead and never looked back.  Five players were in double figures led by Emily Morfoot who finished with 19 points and 5 assists.  Giselle Alota had 18 points, 11 assists, and 5 steals.  Jula Harrington had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  Macy Hoang and Sophia Galdamez each chipped in 12 points.
 
On Saturday, December 17, the Lancers travel to Crawford to play Helix at 3pm in the opening round of the Crawford Tournament.  
 
Girls Soccer
 
Our soccer team is 3-1 after their two games last week.  On Tuesday, December 6, Parker defeated Serra, 3-0.  Rebecca Siegler scored 2 goals and Maya Pratt-Freedman scored the other goal for the Lancers.  Brooke Trossen had 1 assist.  Goalie Kaelie Thomas made 5 saves for the shutout victory.  On Thursday, the Lancers travelled to Grossmont where they lost 5-0 to the Foothillers.  
 
The Lancers will be back in action on Wednesday, December 14, at 4pm, on Lauer Field, against Canyon Crest.
 
Boys Basketball
 
Our boys ran their record to 3-0 after their two victories this past week.  On Tuesday, December 6, the Lancers defeated O’Farrell 56-37.  Alec White led the way with 19 points and 16 rebounds.  Jack Brady finished with 15 points.  He was 3 for 6 from behind the three point line.  Jacob Jovien scored 10 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.  Matt Brady finished with 9 points and a team leading 4 assists.
 
On Thursday, the Lancers ran away from Lutheran, defeating the Knights 58-38 on Hillgren Court.  The leading scorer for the Lancers was Jack Brady who made five three point shots and finished with 17 points.  Alex White had 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Matt Brady finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
 
The Lancers will be back on Hillgren Court on Wednesday, December 14, against Steele Canyon.
 
Alex White scored 19 points against O’Farrell High.
 
Boys Soccer
 
The Lancers are 4-1 after their 1-0 loss to University City in the semi-finals of the Parker Cup Tournament on Monday, December 5.  The Lancers mustered 10 shots on goal, but none of them found the back of the net.  Goalie, Tyler Dunne, made 14 saves to keep the game close.  The Lancers will be back on Lauer Field, Tuesday, December 13, at 6pm, against Grossmont.
