Parker Sports Wrap for the Week of Aug. 28 - Sept. 2

Varsity Football

The Parker Football team dropped their first two contests of the season last week. After losing to Kearny in the season opener, they fell just short this past week, losing 14-7 to Clairemont High School on Friday, Sept. 2. 
After two games, Junior QB Ryan Sanborn led the team offensively, with 88 yards rushing and 124 yards passing. Junior Jonathon Gordon led the team in receiving with six catches for 85 yards.
Defensively, Sophomore LBs Sam Camposeco and Trevor Brokowski led the team with 28 and 17 tackles, respectively.  Junior DE Peter Bowden has recorded 3 Sacks.
The Lancers will be back in action this Friday, September 8 at San Diego High School.  Kickoff is at 6:30 pm.

Girls Tennis

Girls Tennis takes on Coronado High School on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Matches begin at 3 pm at the San Diego Tennis and Racquet Club.
