Parker Sports Wrap for the Week of Sept. 4 - 9

Girls Volleyball
On Wednesday 8/6 we played @ Scripps Ranch. Unfortunately, they lost in 3 games, the scores from our perspective were: 24-26, 19-25, 21-25

Sophia Galdamez led the team on kills with 10
Beatrix Thomas led the team in digs with 13
They will be back in action at home against Point Loma High School on Wednesday at 5:15.
Cross Country
The Cross Country team had a 2-mile time trial on Friday afternoon.  
The top finishers on the boys' side were Tanner Penrose (10:54), Carson Cook (10:59), and Zach Hall (11:34).  The top finishers for the girls were Avi Waldman (12:59), Frannie Lang (12:59), and Lucy Recht (13:18).  Spencer Ruff clocked the fastest time among Freshman (11:37).
They will run their first official race of the 2017 season on Saturday, 9/16, taking part in the Mt. Carmel Invitational.  The first race will start at 8:30 am.

Girls Tennis
Our girls tennis teams split their two matches from last week.  
On Tuesday vs Coronado, they lost 14-4.  Avi Anklesaria and Caitlin Rowlings played together in doubles and won both of their matches.
On Thursday, they bounced back to the tune of a 14-4 victory over Santa Fe Christian. Samantha Clarke, Lara Wells, and Melina Rights helped the Lancers sweep the singles matches.
Our football fell on Friday night to San Diego High School by a final score of 54-7.
Sophomore's Andrew Molina and Trevor Brokowski combined for 28 rushing yards and Senior Jack Sachrison led the team with 34 receiving yards.  
Ryan Sanborn led the team defensively with 11 tackles.  Junior Jon Gordon returned a kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown.  
The Lancers have a bye this week and will be back in action at home on Friday, September 22nd vs La Jolla Country Day.  Kickoff is at 7 pm, but make sure to arrive by 6:30 pm to see the Lancer players honor their favorite teachers and staff members at Faculty/Staff Appreciation night.
