The boy's soccer team began their season wilth 4 games last week as it hosted the Parker Cup. They dropped tough matches to Poway, Canyon Crest, and Christian High School, but fought back to notch 0-0 tie against Granite Hills. Senior Goalkeepers Tyler Dunne and Ben Krongard combined for the shutout, with Krongard making a spectacular save late in the game to preserve the tie.
With the Parker Cup now finished, the Lancers will be back in action on Thursday, December 14th, when they host Serra high school at 6pm.
Girl's Soccer -
The Girl's soccer team began their season with 2 road games last week, as they took part in the annual Baron's tournament. On Thursday they defeated Montgomery High School by a score of 2-0. Junior Maya Pratt-Freedman and Freshman Dalila Caceres provided the offense with one goal a piece, while Freshman Goalkeeper Maia Carlson recorded her first career shutout. On Saturday Afternoon, the Lancers fell 2-0 to tournament host Bonita Vista.
They will continue pool play in the Baron's tournament next Tuesday when they travel to take on Olympian High School at 3:15pm
Girl's Basketball -
The Girls basketball team began their season on Tuesday, hosting Point Loma High School. It was a closely fought game that went down to the final seconds, but ultimately the Lancers fell by a score of 53 - 51. Freshman Jazmin Brooks led the Lancers with 15 points on 5 of 10 shooting, while Senior Jula Harrington dominated on the boards, grabbing 14 rebounds.
The Lancers will be back in action this week on Tuesday, December 5th when they travel to take on the Islanders of Coronado High School. Tipoff time is at 6pm.
Boy's Basketball -
The Boys basketball team has yet to play their first game. You can catch them in action on Tuesday, December 12th, when they host Liberty Charter School at 7pm.
