Immediately after receiving his bachelor's in physical education from California State University Fullerton in 1971, David started at Parker. He has worn many hats — as a teacher in the Lower and Upper Schools, principal of the Lower School for 11 years, assistant to the headmaster, Summer School Program Director, basketball coach, football coach and baseball coach for 29 years.
"Although the school has changed in many ways through the years, the one quality that has remained consistent is that Parker is a family — my family," he says.
He has taught sons and daughters of students he had 20 to 30 years earlier.
David loves sports, with baseball and cycling being his favorites.
He and his wife, Edith, live in Carmel Valley, and enjoy going to baseball games, the movies, cooking, entertaining and traveling. They have two sons, Joshua and Jeremy, a granddaughter and two stepdaughters.
