A group of past and present AP Photo students gathered in June 2016 with photography instructor Mark Byrne. Erika Sanchez ’09 just finished three years with Teach for America at Waianae High School, Oahu and will start at Loyola Law School this fall. Alexa Sherman ’09 is working on a double master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counseling at Chapman University, where she also received her BA. Jona Plevin ’15 is working as a Solana Beach lifeguard and returns to Carleton College in the fall. Alejandra Goines’16 begins Barnard College this fall. Shannon Partrick ’09 recently earned an MFA at Maryland Institute College of the Arts. She is the co-founder and creative director of a nomadic bookshop and artist-run space called Bookish, and is a professional photographer shooting portrait and fashion commissions regularly. Alia Kiran ’10 is currently working at a newspaper in Istanbul, Turkey and starts a masters program in European Studies at the London School of Economics next fall.
