Violet Jabara Jacobs, past Parker grandparent, died on January 12, 2015. Violet is survived by her daughters, Linda Jacobs and Valerie Jacobs Hapke and Valerie's family: her husband, Norman, and two grandchildren, Andrew '01 and Claire '04. The Hapke family established the Violet Jacobs Scholarship Fund at Parker in 2002 and it honors a Parker student whose scholastic achievements, citizenship and contributions to the School and community have earned this individual the distinction of being a Jacobs Scholar.
Francis Parker School is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 from across San Diego County. Founded in 1912, the Lower School is located on the Mission Hills Campus with the Upper and Middle Schools on the Linda Vista Campus.
