Drama Club’s Much-Anticipated Performance of The Little Mermaid Sure to Delight
The Drama Club is eagerly preparing for its final performance of the year. The Little Mermaid opens with a special preview night on Wednesday, May 17 beginning at 5:30 pm. The much-anticipated show was in high demand -- tickets went quickly and all showtimes, except for Wednesday's preview night, are sold out!
The Little Mermaid is a collaborative production with students from Parker’s Lower, Middle and Upper Schools performing together. The show is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story and the beloved Disney film production. Audience members can expect much of the wonderful music they remember from the 1989 film paired with elaborate costumes and energetic choreography performed by some of Parker’s shining drama stars.
Parker students, faculty and staff got a small taste of the show during last Wednesday’s SASS (Short Attention Span Showcase) in Crivello Hall. The audience was delighted with two of The Little Mermaid’s most adored songs, “Part of Your World” and “Under the Sea.”
Parker Drama Club students have been working hard to make this performance memorable and fun for everyone. The show is directed by Elise Marinkovich; musical direction by Mark Femia, choreography by Erica Buechner and technical direction by Katie Dawson.
The Little Mermaid performance will take place at Galli-Curci Performing Arts Center on the Linda Vista Campus at the following dates and times:
Wednesday, May 17 at 5:30 pm - Preview Night
Thursday, May 18 at 6 pm
Friday, May 19 at 6 pm
Saturday, May 20 at 2 pm and 7 pm Sunday, May 21 at 2 pm - Final Performance
