Cheer on the Lancers in this week’s CIF playoff games

The regular winter sports season is now over and the Lancers are well-represented in the first round of the CIF San Diego Section playoffs.

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Varsity Girls Soccer and Varsity Boys Basketball teams travel to their respective playoff games. Girls Soccer takes on Olympian High School in Chula Vista beginning at 5 pm. The Lancers earned the #11 seed in CIF’s San Diego Section Division 2 and take on the 6th seeded Eagles for the right to play Del Norte High School on Friday, Feb. 23.

Boys Basketball earned the #9 seed in CIF’s San Diego Section Division 2 and will take on 8th seeded Serra High School in the first round of playoffs. The game starts at 7 pm and the winner will travel to face top-seeded Montgomery High School on Friday, Feb. 23.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Varsity Girls Basketball team hosts Lincoln High School in the first round of the CIF San Diego Section Division 2 playoffs. The game tips off at 7 pm. The Lancers earned the #8 seed and take on 9th seeded Lincoln High for the chance to face #1 seed Carlsbad High School on Saturday, Feb. 24.

Girls Basketball Coach Jeremiah Pelaiz is confident in his team and hopes the community comes out to support them.

"Unity is strength. When there is team and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved. Our Parker girls basketball team represents the gold standard of Parker, and it would truly mean a lot to them to have the support of the student body and faculty," he said.

If you can’t make it to the away games on Tuesday, be sure to cheer on the Lancers at home Wednesday night. Go Lancers!
