Course Description
In this playful yoga class children will learn to reduce stress, as well as to increase flexibility, balance, and concentration. Through breathing, movement, art, and even some indoor gardening (all that is needed is mason jars) students will engage in reflective practices. Through pizza oms, chocolate mediation, and glitter jars children will experiment with short meditations. Students will see that yoga truly is an international means of communication as they are given the opportunity to learn cues for the sun salutation in both French & Spanish (no prior knowledge needed). Students will get a digital journal manual to help them incorporate what they learn long after the camp ends.

The Dance Lab (VIRTUAL)

Course Description
In The Dance Lab, students will be guided daily through a structured warm-up followed by technique work and finally small, fun combinations. Genres include jazz, contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop. In addition, the history of dance and legendary dancers and their influence will be studied.
No dance experience required, just an attitude of curiosity and a love for music and movement. Choreography geared towards the level of the class will be taught with a fun mini-performance at the end of the camp session for family and friends.
The instructor, Jessica Gentry has an extensive dance background including National Champion (small team) SongLeader, a 3rd place Leo’s dance award at Gus Giordano’s Jazz Dance World Congress, full-ride dance scholarship (2 years) The Academy of Performing Arts, Dance Team member (UCSD), full-ride dance scholarship (1 year) The Tremaine Dance Center (Los Angeles). She has worked on such shows as, “Modern Family,” “The Librarians” and “Portlandia” as well as danced for the opening number of the LGBTA awards, various other live shows (Choreographer’s Carnival), music videos, work-out videos (Tae-Bo), commercials as well as being a featured dancer in The Toledo Show. Most recently Jessica danced at the press premiere for the movie, “Isn’t it Romantic.”

Jr. Lancer Basketball (SELF-PACED)

Course Description
Calling all hoopers, calling all hoopers! This virtual offering of Jr. Lancer Basketball aims to introduce aspiring players to the basics of basketball. All varieties of skill sets are welcomed. This course is focused on cultivating a player’s individual game. To do this, players will learn the importance of conditioning, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through a set of pre-recorded weekly drills.
In addition to building fundamental skill sets through drills, players will be introduced to essential basketball concepts. Players will be invited to study the highlights of an NBA or WNBA player to help grow their own game. At the end of the course, players can submit their learnings from the pro player they studied as well as a clip of themselves showcasing a bit of what they added to their game from the drills. Players will walk away from this camp having improved their individual game and bubbling with self-confidence.

Course Description
Jr. Lancer Cheer Camp gives young cheerleaders and dancers the chance to learn in the comfort of their homes and experience teamwork and challenge themselves to improve skills.
During the Parker cheer course, participants will learn techniques from beginning to more advanced levels. Cheer Camp will focus on cheers, stunting, basic gymnastics for the field, and a short spirit routine. The focus of the course will give each camper a true Parker experience! Routines, taught by experienced coaches and are appropriately designed for each level.
The cheer experience at Parker is a unique, meaningful, and fun training experience. Go! Fight! Win!

Course Description
Jr. Lancer Football is a one-week workshop that will provide young athletes (all welcome) with a safe introduction to the fun of football fundamentals and strategy. Parker Football coach DJ Walcott will lead drills focused on running, throwing, catching, and evading opponents. Each drill will build up the fundamental skills needed to play flag football.
Skills and mini-games will promote sportsmanship and foster fun! The overall goal is that each player will not only become a better football player, but also a better teammate.

Course Description
Jr. Lancer Lacrosse Camp is focused on developing each player’s fundamental skills and igniting a passion for the game. Lacrosse is a fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented game. Daily sessions are designed for campers to learn the fundamental skills and values of the game through fun and engaging drills.

Jr. Lancer Soccer (SELF-PACED)

Course Description
This course will teach the basics all young soccer players need to know in order to fully enjoy the game of soccer. Through the use of easy to understand online instruction players will be able to learn and practice from many different activities that will give them a good foundation and understanding of the game.
The focus will be on basic technique as we will review passing, receiving, and dribbling. The coach will provide many activities you can watch and learn from and then try at home as you are instructed on the proper technique. Players will learn to pass with accuracy, receive with the proper touch, and learn to dribble with all parts of the foot along with learning some fun moves. The coach will offer many different activities and how to make each activity more or less challenging so players can adjust what to do based on their own skill level.
There will also be instruction on some fun warm-ups as well as games for players so they can test their improvement and have some fun. All of the activities will be geared towards 1-2 players with minimal equipment needed so everything can be done from the backyard.
